Why read this guide?
We handle money every day of our lives and still very few people stop to ask the question of What is money?
Money is a fundamental part of society.
Money allows us to exchange our knowledge or labor for goods and services for our family and ourselves. A society with broken money is a broken society where commerce can't function and basic needs can't be met.
We are constantly being told what to do with our money: invest it in a retirement account, buy a house, buy stocks, spend it in a great vacation but interestingly enough, the concept of money is not taught at schools, not even at the personal finance classes at high school.
Why is that? The quote above from Henry Ford gives you a hint.
For the last 52 years, the governments of the world have corrupted money and until now we have had no other choice but to accept it. We had to risk our savings in the stock market to try to outpace inflation.
But not anymore, with Bitcoin, we have the opportunity to return to a society built on the foundation of sound money and sound money practices.
Follow the money
We work many hours a day and receive money in exchange. We then use that money to feed our family, to house them, clothe them and have fun with them. Money enables us to put the work first and do all these things later.
